Emily is a New Yorker at heart with a California soul.
She has been acting and singing since the young age of six, when her parents enrolled her in a musical theater program to help focus her attention. It stuck! She fell in love with performing and making people laugh, cry and feel. As a singer/songwriter, Emily performed with her band throughout New York City at venues including the Gramercy Theater and Highline Ballroom. She also helped write for other artists and has had songs featured on The Today Show and the Bachelor and had a top 10 hit in Australia.
Since moving to LA Emily has been on the stage and in front of the camera, performing whenever she can. She especially enjoys performing with Company of Angels (the oldest nonprofit professional theater company in LA) who bring social issues to light through theater and embraces the city’s diversity. Recently she has also been using her voice as a screenwriter and is currently working on some exciting new projects!
